SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Col. Nathan B. Alholinna, 114th Fighter Wing vice commander, presented $500 checks to two different  local organizations at the quarterly technician meeting on April 20, 2016. The Children's Home Society of South Dakota and The Banquet of Sioux Falls were the recipients. The money was collected during the annual holiday party held at Joe Foss Field, S.D. in Dec. 2015.

Tamera Jerke-Liesinger, Executive Director of the Banquet of Sioux Falls, said, "This gift means the world to those who come to eat at the Banquet." 

In 2015, The Banquet served meals to more than 25,000 children under the age of 12.  They served 190,000 meals total last year.

Jerke-Liesinger thanked the organization by saying, "Thank you for the efforts of the South Dakota Air National Guard every year and for this generous donation."

Holiday party co-chair Chief Master Sgt. Pat Baustian stated, "We plan to keep supporting organizations within our community."
