SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Lt. Gen. Stanley E. Clarke III, Commander, 1st Air Force(second from right) and Maj. Gen. Tim A. Reisch, Adjutant General of the South Dakota National Guard (far right) joined members of the Civil Air Patrol flying team Nov. 3, 2012 at Joe Foss Field. Clarke was in Sioux Falls to visit the 114th Fighter Wing, South Dakota Air National Guard and participated in interceptor training flights with the local Civil Air Patrol. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard, along with Col.(ret) Robert Jamison, were on hand Oct. 5 to pin a star on Brig. Gen. Matthew Jamison. General Jamison was appointed as the Chief of Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, South Dakota National Guard in January 2012 and received federal recognition as Brigadier General in September. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Gen. Mike Hostage, commander of Air Combat Command, and Brig. Gen. Wayne Shanks, South Dakota Assistant Adjutant General for Air, listen as Tech. Sgt. Nathan Blom, 114th Maintenance Group pneudraulics systems mechanic, explains functions of the Eaton Leonard tube bending machine. The machine is one of only a few owned by the Air Force and greatly enhances the unit’s ability to support the flying mission. Gen. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Staff Sgt. Katie McGuire, 114th Civil Engineer Squadron Emergency Management technician, Colman, S.D. was chosen in January to be a part of the elite "Tops In Blue" entertainment group for the United States Air Force. As the only member of the National Guard chosen for the 2012 world tour, Sgt. McGuire plays the keyboard and will travel the world for much of 2012.
