Training

BASIC MILITARY TRAINING

Once accepted, you will go to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas for six (6) and 1/2 weeks of basic military training. You will become oriented to military procedures and be challenged both mentally and physically. Your training instructor (TI) will teach you how teamwork can help accomplish any job easily and more efficiently. Basic military training is a time of challenge, discipline, camaraderie, and most importantly, personal development - your mind, your body, and your confidence. You will carry these attributes with you throughout your entire life.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

You will continue your training at an Air Force technical school located at various locations throughout the United States. Depending on the career field, your training could last anywhere from six (6) weeks to 30 weeks. Career oriented technical training, both military and civilian, as well as experience on the job is an unbeatable combination.

CITIZEN AIRMAN
