South Dakota National Guard Soldiers and Airmen during historic flood efforts
PIERRE, S.D. – Staff Sgt. Megan Carter, 114th Fighter Wing, and Sgt. William Carter, 147th Field Artillery, are a married couple from Sioux Falls, S.D. were both called to state active duty by their individual units to help with flooding operations along the Missouri River in Pierre. Megan works the day shift, while William works nights, making it difficult to see each other. They have a baby at home who took her first step while they were placed on state active duty in support of the historic flooding event along the Missouri River in Pierre. (SDNG photo by Master Sgt.
