National Guard continues levee construction, working with community in Dakota Dunes
DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. - Lt. Col. Brandon Eskam, 114th Fighter Wing, Sioux Falls, uses a two-way radio to guide an Army National Guard UH-60 Helicopter hauling 2,500 pound sandbags in Dakota Dunes, Thursday, June 2, 2011. The large sandbags will help strengthen the levee at Division D of the Dakota Dunes levee project. Soldiers and Airmen are working around the clock in this historic flooding event and continue to work side by side with local, state and federal agencies and volunteers to provide flooding assistance to the citizens of South Dakota.
