Army and Air Guard work together to fight floods
PIERRE, S.D. -- Maj. Laurie Tidemann, South Dakota Air National Guard Headquarters, works alongside Maj. Steve Volk and Capt. C.J. Willems, both of the Combat Service Support Battalion, at the South Dakota National Guard Mission desk in the Emergency Operations Center in Pierre. The Mission desk is manned to ensure any need for Soldiers and Airmen of the National Guard are tasked out on flood support missions and the vast coordination efforts communicated up the military chain of command.
