Jet Engine Test
The engine of an F-16 Fighting Falcon is run-up to afterburner during an engine test in the hush house at Joe Foss Field S.D. July 30, 2014. The hush house is a facility that allows a crew of Airmen to test jet engines on the ground after the engines have been repaired. Engines can be tested while installed on the aircraft or while on specialized mobile racks designed to hold the engine during maintenence.(National Guard photo by Senior Airman Duane Duimstra/Released)
