Local teen recognized for supporting military
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Maj. Gen. Tim A. Reisch, The Adjutant General, South Dakota National Guard, presents Renae Vanderzee, a recent graduate from Marion high school, his coin as a sign of appreciation during a 114th Fighter Wing unit training assembly here June 7. Vanderzee organized and prepared care packages which were sent to deployed members of the 1742nd Transportation Company during their tour in Afghanistan.
