114th Operations Group change of command

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  Two change of command ceremonies were held at Joe Foss Field, S.D. May 1, 2016.  Col. Gregory W. Lair, 114th Fighter Wing vice commander, relinquished command of the 114th Operations Group to Lt. Col. Quenten M. Esser, former 175th Fighter Squadron commander.  Esser is a command pilot with the unit and had served as the 175th Fighter Squadron commander since Dec. 2014.    Assuming command of the 175th Fighter Squadron is Lt. Col. Cory J. Kestel, formerly the Director of Operations for the unit.

2016 is a year of several command changes at the unit and the new commanders look forward to continuing the heritage of excellence that their predecessors displayed.
