2016 NCOAGA Outstanding Graduate of the Year from South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  Master Sgt. Lisa G. Eisenhauer, 114th Maintenance Group quality assurance inspector, was presented the award of Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Graduates Association Outstanding Graduate of the Year during the organizations national general membership meeting held in Lincoln, Neb. Aug. 14, 2016.

Eisenhauer, a 30 year veteran of the South Dakota Air National Guard, is also the 114th Fighter Wing Color Guard and Honor Guard coordinator and oversees the many volunteers who participate in numerous events each year. Her dedication and reliability to everything she does makes her a perfect recipient of this award.

She is the key coordinator between the base and outside organizations like the Veteran's Administration and the Veteran's Memorial Park for recognition activities annually.

A member of the NCOAGA since 1991, Eisenhauer was a little shocked to recieve the award.

"I don't feel like I've done that much to recieve such an award." said Eisenhauer. "It feels really good to be a part of a team that are like- minded who want to accomplish a goal."

The NCOAGA's charge is to mentor young Airmen and to encourage professional military education within it's ranks. A new mission statement adopted this year states; Mentor airmen with their academic, career and personal goals, which will provide educated, professional, and confident airmen to better serve their commanders, employers, community, and military organizations.

"I look back once and awhile and wonder where I would be if I hadn't taken the step to choose to go in-resident PME. It has opened up so many avenues for networking and learning for me and I'm grateful I can give back by being a part of this association." said Eisenhauer.
